Community education helping us care for our catchment
The Corangamite CMA’s community education program is currently on hold. Please come back in July 2008.
Corangamite CMA mission
"To promote understanding, appreciation and stewardship of the Corangamite Catchment and our total environment.”
Our actions impact our environment and our environment impacts our quality of life. The environmental challenges facing our catchments can only be solved with the help of all community members.
Through our Community Education programs we aim to increase public awareness and knowledge about the many issues and problems that face our local catchment areas. In doing so, we hope to provide the public with the necessary knowledge and skills to make informed decisions and take responsible action.
The Corangamite CMA conducts free community catchment education sessions. The dynamic, creative and innovative programs, facilitate hands-on learning and re both educational and fun with the ultimate aim being that participants understand how they impact their environment and how the environment impacts their quality of life.
‘Through awareness comes appreciation, through appreciation, conservation.’
