The Victorian Investment Framework (VIF) is the mechanism for co-ordinating investment in natural resource management for CMAs in Victoria.
The Victorian Government has released its Statement of Priorities for 2010-2011, this document is available on the CMA web site.
Victorian Investment Framework Programs
Although the framework outlines six programs, the Natural Resources Investment Program and Victoria Landcare Program, through the Second Generation Landcare Program are the only programs available to external providers.
The investment priorities of the six programs administered through VIF are:
- land health
- Victorian River Health Program
- Sustainable Irrigation Program, not available in the Corangamite catchment
- biodiversity program
- Victorian Landcare Program
- Landcare Grants
- Regional Landcare support
- Natural Resource Investment Program (NRIP). NRIP's aim is to complement and add value to other programs improving Victoria's natural resources through policy-led investment in the following areas:
- biodiversity
- land health
- river and wetland health
- estuarine, coastal and marine health.
Involvement in this is through working with the CMA developing regional bids.
