Australian Government
Caring for our Country (C4oC) is the Australian Government's natural resource management initiative. There are two components of C4oC, ‘core’ investment and ‘competitive’ investment. Last year the Corangamite CMA secured funding for the core component for 2009-2010 and 2010-11, and is only in a position to apply for funding through the competitive component.
The C4oC business plan is expected late November and will be available from http://www.nrm.gov.au. Partners and stakeholders are encouraged to monitor the NRM web site regularly for updates.
To be eligible for C4oC funding you must be a legal entity or an incorporated body to submit an investment proposal. Competitive proposals sought by the Australian Government are outlined below:
- Small scale – between $20,000 and $100,000Medium scale – budget is expected to be up to 2 – 3 million per year
- Large scale – up to 20 million.
Applicants can apply directly to the Australian Government, and also work with the Corangamite CMA on proposals to gain support in respect to planning, integration and partnerships.
