Waterway Condition
Overall, the condition of waterways in the Lake Corangamite Basin is either marginal or poor. This is due largely to past clearing for agricultural pursuits and drainage of wetlands. River condition was reassessed by the Index of Stream Condition in April-May 2004. These results are currently being analysed and will available in December 2004. Summaries of the condition of waterways in each of the Barwon Basin landscape zones are provided below.
